How we are organized
The Association of Former Customs Special Agents (AFCSA) is a not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida and has been granted exemption from the payment of Federal Income taxes by the Internal Revenue Service. Our Articles of Incorporation and our Federal tax status prescribe that we operate under the lodge system.
The Association by-laws, under which our activities are governed, require an elected President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and four Regional Directors. These officers and directors, along with the immediate past President, make up the nine-member Board of Directors that sets policy for the organization.
AFCSA chapters have been and continue to be formed in various geographical locations around the United States. The Chapters elect local officers and operate under the national by-laws with local adaptations.
